CB-CID probing Minorities Corpn scam

The Government today decided to crack the whip on the Managing Director of  the AP Minorities' Finance Corporation, Ilyas Rizvi, following revelations of a massive scam adding up to an amount of over Rs. 400 crores.

He was shifted out of the Corporation and not given a fresh posting, even as the probe into the scam picked up pace.
The CB-CID is looking at the role of officials in the scam, which centers around fixed deposits and would seek court permission to interrogate them, officials said.
