Blast in pharma unit, 15 workers grievously injured

A blast at Glochem Pharma Company at Parawada area on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam left 15 of its workers seriously injured.

The blast occurred in a chemical tanker parked on the premises of the pharma unit. However, the factory workers say that the blast occurred in the ammonium reactor of the factory.

The injured were admitted into a hospital in Gajuwaka. The condition of five of them is said to be serious.

Police registered a case and started their investigations on the matter.
