Araku M.P. to face trial in fake caste identity case

T.D.P leaders filed a petition against Araku M.P. Kothapalli Geetha during assembly election process

, which came to trail on Wednesday.

Kothapalli Geetha contested on Y.S.R.C.P ticket and claimed that she was an ST. She had also furnished caste certificate claiming ST status during the filing of her nomination. However, T.D.P candidate Gummadi Sandya Rani opposed these claims. The case adjourned for Thursday.

Gummadi Sandhya Rani confirmed to the media that she had filed a case against Geetha. She claimed Geetha was not an ST as was being claimed.
