Lucknow: Despite border tensions between the two nations--India and Pakistan, Union Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj helped a Lucknow-based man marry his fiancee who resides in Pakistan.

The 'nikaah' (marriage) was performed last Friday here in the city. The 24-year-old man Naqi Ali Khan is a resident of Agha Mir Deodhi near City Station, Lucknow. He is an engineer by profession, while the 24-year-old Fatima is from Karachi. Both got engaged two years ago. However, their marriage was delayed due to some visa issues as the girl is a native of Pakistan.
