Warangal: In a tragic road accident, a policeman lost his six-year-old daughter in an accident that happened while their family was returning from a picnic. The incident occurred on Friday evening at Machapuram village in Govindraopet mandal in the district.

According to the police, Srinivas, who is discharging his duties as a police constable at Mulug PS, visited Laknavaram Lake in Warangal along with his family.

While returning in the evening, Srinivas who was at the wheel, tried to avoid hitting a stray dog on the highway. He lost control and he vehicle rammed into roadside Tamarind tree. Srinivas's six-year-old daughter Tejaswi suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot.

Srinivas's mother Kamalamma, who too suffered injuries, was shifted to Warangal MGM hospital. The police registered a case and launched investigation.
