30 houses gutted in fire

About 30 houses were destroyed in a fire that broke out at Lavetipalem in Srikakulam district.

It is estimated that the fire has damaged goods worth Rs 30 lakh, including some amount of money.

More than 30 houses, all attached, were gutted in fire, police said. The exact reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained. Officials from Revenue Department are inspecting the spot.
