Bollywood’s Biggest Breakups In 2016

Year 2016 saw break-ups galore in Bollywood. In fact, it turned out to be a year of high profile break-ups. Some relations ended on a sour note after years of being together. Here are some high-profile break-ups this year.

At the peak of her glitzy career in 2003 Karishma married businessman Sanjay Kapoor. They had two kids Samaira and Kiyan. But, for over the last two years, they had bitter quarrels and fought a high profile separation battle. In June this year, they finally got divorced.

Dubbed most stylish couple, the Akhtars decided to call it quits after 16 years of being together. No reasons were forthcoming from either Farhan or Adhuna. But, they announced that separation was mutually agreed upon.

They were together for 17 long years, but suddenly announced their decision to separate in March. Last November, they attended the Bandra Family Court. Malaika's relation with a much younger hero is said to be the reason for the separation. They have a 14-year-old son Arhan.

Pulkit and Shweta came together in 2014 and got separated in 2016. Shwetha blames it on Pulkit's proximity to his co-star Yami Gowtham. After a year of happiness, differences brewed and nothing could salvage the marriage.

The Dhoni - the Untold Story star Sushant Rajput and TV star Ankita Lokhande were an item for years. But, his binge drinking irked Ankita and Sushant says Ankita misunderstood his relation with Kriti Sanon. The end result: The couple, who were to tie the knot last January, headed for splitsville.

Well! We also have the famous breakup of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. But, no one knows if the romance is off or on. Conflicting signals are being sent from either side.
