 - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Calling upon the party workers to pull up their socks for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Telangana Congress President Revanth Reddy said the selection of party candidates will begin after the Sankranti festival.

Congress Political Affairs Committee (PAC) held its first meeting at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday. The PAC meeting was chaired by national General Secretary in-charge for Telangana Manikrao Thakare. It was attended by state President and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers, PAC members and senior leaders.

During the PAC meeting, Revanth Reddy said the General elections could be advanced by a month. He said the party will fill nominated posts in government, local bodies, temples and market committees, among others. He also made it clear that the party leadership will take care of the MLC seats while Manikrao Thakare and AICC secretaries will decide the names for nominated posts.

Explaining the process of implementation of public welfare schemes, the chief minister said that benefits should reach every eligible beneficiary and there should not be any discrimination at any level. He asserted that the benefits should be released by the Congress candidate who received the B-form (or Form B indicates the name of the candidate who is put up by the political party) from the Congress party.
