The much-awaited IPL 2022 season will start on March 26

Ahead of the season starting, there are new changes in the format

If a team is unable to field a playing XI owing to COVID-19, the BCCI will try to reschedule the match for later in the season.

If the match is not rescheduled, the issue will be reported to the IPL Technical Committee.

The number of DRS reviews permitted to a side has been increased to two per innings

The new batsman will have to take the strike even if the batsmen in the middle crossover during a catch.

If a Super Over cannot be completed in a playoff game or final, the team that finished highest on the league stage will be the winner
