Hyderabad: After a gruelling wait, India will finally play the ICC Men's World Cup 2019 against South Africa at The Rose Bowl in Southampton on Wednesday. The Virat Kohli and team will be seen in action as they set for their quest for the third World Cup title. India is the last of the 10 participating teams who are yet to launch their challenge in England and Wales.

Several good luck messages have been around for the team, but interestingly, there has been a sudden increase for the Indian cricket team not from cricketers or cricket fans alike, but from soccer players. And the latest entrant in the league who has come out in support for the Indian cricket team is Germany and Bayern Munich star striker Thomas Mueller.

The German football star on Twitter said that Kohli has in the past supported the German national team and he is returning the favour.

Dressed in an India cricket shirt and holding a bat on one hand, he tweeted, ""I wish all participants of the Cricket #WorldCup2019 good luck & thrilling matches. Especially I cross my fingers for @imVkohli, the captain of the Indian team. He's a fan of @DFB_Team and supported it multiple times in the past #Cricket #GermanyCheersForIndia."

Not just him, just before the start of the World cup 2019, Chelsea FC and Brazilian superstar David Luiz too had tweeted his support for the Indian cricket team. He had left an adorable message for the Indian cricket team for the World Cup.

And after Mueller wish, Twitterati could not help gushing. Have a look at the reactions:
