Telugus In Chicago Mark YSR Jayanti

Telugus in Chicago paid a grand tribute to late Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy garu on the occasion of his 72 birthday. Over 150 people gathered at Hummer Park, Downers Grove City to pay their homage to their beloved leader. Venkata Reddy Lingareddy NATA BOD, Satya Kandimalla, Ramachandrareddy Ade from Telangana America Telugu Society and RV Reddy lighted the lamps and paid floral tributes to the great leader. Lakshminarayana, Shiva Desu, Srujan, Sheshu, Aadi, Shashank, Shiva Reddy, Ramakanth, Bhupal Reddy, and Parameshwar Reddy organized the event. Lunch and savories served for the occasion. Fun activities for kids were organized.

Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy was the 14th chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and served as the CM for the united Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2009. YSR worked hard for the welfare of the people. In 2003, he undertook a three-month-long padayatra across many districts in Andhra Pradesh. He won the hearts of the people. YSR died in a helicopter crash in 2009.
