Amaravati: As Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu continues to conduct his "Dharma Porata Deeksha" meetings in protest against the Bharatiya Janata Party's reluctance to accord the Special Category Status (SCS) to the state, opposition parties accuse him of wasting public money and of forcefully moblizing people to the meetings. Amid severe criticism of wasting public money over the meetings on social media, certain leaders from the opposition parties also allege Chandrababu of distributing money to people for attending the Porata Deeksha meetings.

A recent video of a group of women, who said that Rs 500 was being given to those attending the meetings, went viral on social media. In the video, the women were spotted boarding a bus arranged by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders. In the backdrop of the criticism on Chandrababu's meetings, the video turned out to be a sensation.
