Addressing the meeting after holding discussions with party workers here, the Congress leader clarified. "I will not leave the Congress party. The party is home to many leaders from the Backward classes," he said. After a series of constituency-wise meetings with the party members, an action plan would be charted out, he remarked.

However, he chose not to comment on Danam Nagender's claims on lack of recognition for leaders from the BC community. The father-son duo of Mukesh Goud and Vikram Goud have stayed away from party meetings at Gandhi Bhawan since a long time now, it is learnt.

In the meeting, former Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, senior Congress leader and former MP V Hanumanth Rao among others participated.
