Saindhav Movie Review, Rating

 - Sakshi Post

Victory Venkatesh’s Saindhav is out in theatres . It is Venkatesh 75th film in his career . Venkatesh consciously planned the 75th film to be different from his previous movies. The film is directed by Sailesh Koneru . Here is the Saindhav review :

Plot: Saindhav Koneru (Venkatesh) had a bitter past. His daughter Gayatri suffers with a rare disease known as Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Like every father, Venkatesh also wants to save his daughter, but the cost of injection to cure the terminal illness is Rs 17 cr. How he earns that money in a short span of time is what the story is about. How he saves his daughter is a gist of the story.

Performances: Venkatesh is as usual at his best self. Saindhav is a one-man show of Venkatesh . Nawazuddin Siddiqui is outstanding with his versatile acting as the villain Vikas Malik. Tamil actor Arya plays a decent role but it’s not effective . Shraddha Srindhi is perfect but her character wasn’t made well . Andrea Jeremiah, Mukesh Rishi, Baby Sara and Rhuhani Sharma are apt. Ravi Varma is seen as a doctor.

Thumbs up :

Venkatesh's performance
A few action scenes
Emotional scenes in the climax.

Thumbs down :

Flat narration
Boring screenplay
BGM
Repetitive scenes
No logic in some scenes.

Analysis :

Saindhav comes as the third Sankranthi release of the week. After HanuMan and Guntur Kaaram, this action thriller targets the festive audience. Director Sailesh Kolanu took a break from his HIT franchise to do this movie.

Producer Venkat Boyanapalli of Niharika Entertainment is a fan of Venkatesh. He crafted the project because of that reason. The film's style quotient is heavily inspired by Kamal Haasan's Vikram.

The second half gives a headache with too many action blocks. The dialogues are not effective either.

Verdict : Watch it with low expectations. This is an action thriller that goes on and on. If you are a fan of Venkatesh, give it a try.
