Atal Bihari Vajpayee death news is fake: Yes, social media has been abuzz with reports of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's death news. However, here's the truth about Vajpayee. Contrary to such false reports, Atal Bihari Vajpayee is very much alive and responding to treatment.

The 93-year-old politician was rushed to AIIMS after he complained of illness. Although the BJP called it a routine check-up, reports of Vajpayee being critically ill have been making the rounds on social media networks.

Howecerm according to a statement releasd by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where he is being treated, he will be under the supervision of doctors till his infection eases.

The AIIMS statement read: “He is responding to treatment and is on injectable antibiotics. All vital parameters are stable.”

The Former Prime Minister was hospitalised for UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) and is in the ICU. A team of five doctors are continuosly keeping a check on him. The ICU floor has been cordoned off for security reasons. Besides chest congestion, Vajpayee has pre-existing condtions like diabetes, hypertension, and impaired kidney function. Dr Randeep Guleria, Vajpayee's opersonal physician and a pulmonolist is closly monitoring his medical condition. The other members in the panel of doctors include nephrologist Dr Soumita Bagchi, cardiac surgeon Dr SK Chaudhary, and gastroenterologist Dr Pramod Garg.

Politicians from across the country have been paying a visit to the ailing politician at the hospital. Former prime ministers Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda, senior BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, Union minister for food processing industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, minister of state for health Ashwini Kumar Choubey and BJP MP Kalraj Mishra and former MP Ashwani Kumar were among those who visited Vajpayee on Tuesday.
