Tamil Actor Sangeetha Balan Held In Prostitution Racket

Exposing the dark underbelly of the film industry, police have arrested Tamil actress Sangeetha Balan for allegedly running a prostitution racket in Chennai. When the prositution ring was exposed, women from different states were found to be trapped in it. They were sent to a rehabilitation centre after being rescued from a resort in Chennai, according to the police.

Her partner Satish has also been arrested. According to the cops, Satish allegedly helped Sangeetha Balan lure girls with promises of roles in films and TV shows,

Sangeetha Balan made her debut in the Tamil film industry in 1996 with Karuppu Roja. Sangeetha is popular on TV, as well, for her roles in shows such as Vani Rani, Valli and Chellamay Aval.
