KTR Says No Flexis, Hoardings For His Birthday

Hyderabad: KTR has style and substance, as we all know. The Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister called on his fans not to put up flexis and hoardings all across the city for his birthday. He requested GHMC commissioner Janardhan Reddy and Mayor Bonthu Rammohan to remove the flexis and hoardings that have already been put all over the city.

KTR birthday falls on July 24. Responding to Twitter user, who posted a picture of one such banner and pointed out that the Minister should guide his well-wishers to spend the money more wisely. KTR immediately tweeted, "Absolutely agree with you. Request my friends who are spending money on hoardings and paper advertisements to donate the same to Chief Minister's Relief Fund ."

In July last year as well, in a similar move, KTR took to Twitter to ask the GHMC to remove posters and banners that were celebrating his birthday.

Meanwhile, the Minister has been invited to address the Global Climate Action Summit that will be held at San Fransisco, California from September 12-14. He has been invited by the Governor of California Edmund G Brown Jr who requested him to speak to an audience including government representatives on the topic of future of energy and transport systems along with presenting initiatives taken by Telangana government to tackle the issue of climate change.
