2019 Elections Would Be A Fight Between Deception And Credibility

YSRCP leader MD Iqbal - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: YSR Congress party (YSRCP) Vijayawada parliamentary constituency coordinator MD Iqbal said that the upcoming elections would be a fight between credibility and deception. Speaking to media at a press conference at the party state office in the city, the YSRCP leader said that the 2019 elections were destined to be a contest between a leadership that always stands by the common people and a dictatorship that could not live up to a single election promise. It will be a shocker of a verdict for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), he said.

On the issue of the Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu's decision was late by a lifetime, Iqbal asserted. "Chandrababu's rule resembles a dictatorship. People of the state will not spare him for his mistakes. The Chief Minister ran away from Hyderabad only to escape from the Vote for Note case. The TDP did not co-operate with us in the bandh call given to demand SCS for state. The TDP and BJP will not be spared for violating democratic values in the state Assembly," the YSRCP leader remarked.

The TDP government should focus on providing basic amenities to the rural population instead of trying to increase the Ease of Doing Business numbers, he said. Although Chandrababu is capable of managing the political system, people of the state are in support of the YSRCP, he added.
